Blog post: There are five domains on the Georgia High School Graduation test for Social Studies. They are American government/Civics, US History before 1865, US History after 1865, World History, and Geography. Which domain do you think is your strength, and why? Which domain do you think is your weakness, and why?

World History and Geography would be my strengths simply because I'm good with occurring events and also know my geography of places. Long time ago events may be abit challenging for me but I can manage. And I hope to be prepared for the Graduation Test!

ReplyDelete-My strength would most definitely be 'U.S. History after 1865. The reason i feel most comfortable with this domain is because everything that has taken place after 1865 has been, for the most part, recent. Also events that took place after 1865 are just more interesting than the events that took place before that time period. Therefore, it is still stuck in my head.
-My weakness is probably geography. Many people see geography as being simple. However, i struggle with geography. I have a problem with geography because if i don't remember one place i will not remember the rest of the places on the map.

ReplyDeleteMy strength would probably be U.S. History after 1865. I know alot about the events from then until now. Social Studies is my favorite subject of all time. I can remember things really well and I love learning about our history in the U.S., especially the civil war. My weakness will probably be American government/civics because I know nothing about that. Like at all. lol
ReplyDeleteHistory after 1865 was my best subject because it seemed more interesting to me. American Gov was my weakness because it was extreemly boring and had no apeal to me at all.

ReplyDeleteMy weakness will be world history part because it has alot of information that you will have to remember. Also it has alot of dates to remember and different events that has happened in the later years but I will continue to do my best in class and on the Graduation High School Test.

i would have to say world history because i learend about history in current issues class that helped alot because it helped me see how the issues from today arised from the past and i also took world history last sememster so it helped me greatly. Plus social studies is pretty easy and straight foward. Although my weakness would have to be Geograhpy because it is hard for me to remember specic locations since i tend to mess up .

ReplyDeleteI'm good at World History just because I think It's pretty interesting learning about old kings and ancient battles especially in Europe. Everything else I understand less but they too are pretty simple.

ReplyDeleteMy strength would probably be US history and World History, because it's pretty interesting and that's the only way i'll remember things. I love learning about the old kings and queens and esp the religious debates throughout the years and how it all comes together now. My weekness would definitely be American Govenrment/Civics, its boring.
ReplyDeleteMy strength would have to be Geography because its dealing with Location,Place,Region ,Movement and Human-Environment Interaction which is very easy. My weakness would have to be World history because of all the history we have to read and learn about.

ReplyDeletemy strength is world history and geography, it's easy and its more likely to pass before any other social studies portion. my weakness would be american government/civics , because i havent took that course . but everything thing else i have had and did great on it.
ReplyDeleteI would say my strenth would be Us history after 1865 becuz thats what we mainly know about from what all of our teachers have taught us in the past years,my weakness would be geography because i dont know much about the land or ne of te areas in the past.

ReplyDeleteMy strength would definitely be U.S. History after 1865. This is my strength because i am very familiar with the events that happend after 1865. I finf these events very interesting and more relevant to me that is why i am strong in this area. One of my favorite events that occured after 1865 is the bombing of the U.S. Naval Base Pearl Harbor on december 7, 1941.

ReplyDeleteI believe my strength would be American Government. I've never been the best at history, or remembering specific dates. And geography isn't a strong point of mine, either.

U.S History is definitely my strongest of the five. It just comes really easy to me. I think its very interesting and i like to learn about the history of the U.S that is probably why it comes so easy to me
