NO BENCHMARK THIS WEEK!!! We will start taking them again after spring break until we get scores back.
Blog: What helped you prepare for the GHSGT SS portion? Was it the benchmarks? Was it staying afterschool and reviewing with me? Was is paying attention in your SS classes? Was it the Question/Word of the day?
If you haven't taken the test yet: describe what you'd heard people say about it and how YOU intend to prepare to pass the test.
i just study every day
ReplyDeletePaying attention in my social studies class!
ReplyDeleteJALEN TOWNS
well what helped me was you giving us our study guides
ReplyDeleteI think it was everything starting from paying attention in class, the benchmarks, and all the notes we took for those 2 weeks,Even though most of the things we went over wasn't on there,From everything we talked about i could still answer some of the questions i didnt know.I think i did pretty good
ReplyDeleteI prepared mii self to study and ii didnt stay after school , the things we discussed in class ii remebered some of it , and the word of the day ii remembered that to . I wish ii couldve stayed after school , cause mayb that wouldve helped me some !!
ReplyDeleteyour study guides were very beneficial while preparing for the GHSGT. However, the most helpful were the benchmarks. truthfully they are a pain to do, but they paid off in the long run. i learned a lot when taking them because usa test prep explains each answer after taking the tests, and why they are either wrong or right.
ReplyDeleteMy mom always help me to get prepared for big tests. I always go back to review notes and old tests that I have had. Having a study guide helps me out alot too study.
ReplyDeleteEverything you taught us was on the test and I study for the test I looked over everything we went through also the study guides helped me aso.
ReplyDeletei think the studyguide the weeek before the test helped alot!!!
ReplyDeletethe benchmarks help alot and they also help my grade so its good until the week after next.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the benchmarks was the closest thing to helping me with the GHSGT. Most of the questions I could refer back to the benchmark. I think doing those every week help better prepare me for the test.
ReplyDeletePaying attention in class and studing the notes
ReplyDeletei think the bell worked helped the most and the test was long and boring.
ReplyDeletethe way i passed it was just from paying attention in class and stopping to eliminate answers. Most answers i think were actually just really good guesses
ReplyDeleteI plan to study the week before. I believe this will help me pass the test.
ReplyDeleteI haven't taken the Grad. test, but i heard it was really hard. And so for the week prior to the test i would study up.
ReplyDeletegoing back over the notes when i took your class and also taking notes when i really needed help. Staying after school and also usatestprep helped me.
ReplyDeleteStudied but majority was not on the test.Just tried my best!!
ReplyDeleteI have previously taken the Graduation Test . I didn't like all the studying like the test was extremely hard. The school pushed us too much. All the cramming everyday like the bell works or the practice tests become boring and less effective. But If you have passed all of your classes or have paid attention there's nothing to be worried about. But I'm pretty sure that If you know you need the help, use the advantages available like studying after school, or signing on to USA test prep.
ReplyDeleteI think the benchmarks helped me out the most because you could learn new things during them.
ReplyDeleteAll the reviews, study guides, benchmarks, and the day I stayed after school. Mrs. Copeland you did a wonderful job of helping us prepare for this test !!!!!!!! I just pray to God that I passed!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat helped me perpare for the GHSGT was the notes we took in class and reviewing every night while i was home. The Benchmarks helped me some and of course paying attention in class helped alot, but i didn't come here afer class.
ReplyDeletestaying after school, benchmarks, question of the day, paying attention in class , usatest prep it all helped me. especially the notes we took off the smart board some of the things that was in the notes was on my part of da ss test. but the benchmarks helped out alot i mean a whole lot. and also i went home everyday & looked over the notes & prepared myself to get prepared for the test. i think i did great though.
ReplyDeletethe questions and words of the day

ReplyDeletewhat helped prepare for the GHSGT was the benchmark we did last semster and this semester as well and also doing activities online that they had to offer. What also helped me was being in your class last semester since i got a general idea of some parts in history. mrs. windhams class of current isuues also helped me alot since i understood how todays problems came from a small problem that grew within time so therfore doing benchmarks, actvities, and having your class and mrs. windhams class helped me out tremendously .
STUDY HARD!!!!!!!!! AND HOPE I PASS
ReplyDeletewell what help me with the ghsgt ss was to study hard and pray that i pass and doing my work
ReplyDeleteHaving you go over it thoroughly really helped and all of those definitions ended up being a big help! I feel that I did well on the test but I was nervous and skeptical about it all to begin with.
ReplyDeleteWhat got me prepare for the GHSGT was the questions of the day and the benchmarks we did in class.
ReplyDeleteFor the SS part of the GHSGT, i got prepared by the benchmarks and the questions of the day. I tried to study over the questions of the day so that maaybe i would be more prepared, i guess we'll see how prepared i was wen the results come back
ReplyDeleteThe benchmarks , question of the day , && word of the day helped alot with preparation for the ghgt. i learned alot from doing the bellwork assignments and also practicing with the benchmark test. i also played the games that were on the website so that i was having fun while learning. The word of the day was very usefel because i became familiar with alot of the social studies terms.
ReplyDeleteBefore I took the Graduation test. I had no prior review due to my classes last year.I took the social studies part and did very well.
ReplyDeleteFor me, when I took the test. The number one thing that helped me the most was all my classes before then. The benchmarks helped me review but without my SS classes i wouldve been so lost.
ReplyDeleteWhat really helped me was just paying attention in class. I like social studies anyways so paying sttention wasnt hard for me anyways. But a few weeks before the GHSGT I just buckeled down and really started reviewing and when it came time for the test I wasnt stressed I went in their knowing I was going to pass it.
ReplyDeletewell what helped me was you sending us our study guides in email
